We are the generation with the most: hustlers, go getters, entrepreneurs, and the get the bag mindset. Yet, we are also the most broke. How is it that some of us have 2 to 3 jobs but are still a paycheck away from losing everything? This is the generation with the most education and the least amount in savings.
This became the topic of conversation with a friend. We were both venting about how broke we were in 2018 and how there should be a class in high school on ‘How not be Broke as Fuck’ between the ages on 22 and 30. During the government shutdown, we got to see a real representation on how close to 80 percent of Americans are to losing everything due to a missed paycheck. Majority of us are a paycheck away from homelessness. So what's the solution? Is it figuring out how to better manage money? Or, how to live below our means and stop living off of credit? Is it investing the money we already don't have?
I don’t have the answers but I do recommend that anyone looking to be financially sound to do their research and listen to several podcasts. Let me know your favorite Financial Freedom Podcast in the comments below:
